Halloween 2009

We had our first trick-or-treating event and Coop had a great time with his friends. You've already seen the video here are some before pictures.

You try and get this crew to all look in one direction for a photo.

Cooper's 1st Halloween

We went trick-or-treating with the Smiths, Pulaski's, and Peterson's. Cooper had a great time and did really well. The first house he walked right up to the door with the other kids and held out his basket! Then he tried to give his candy back, he likes to share. We made it down one street and Coop (as well as his parents) were done, it was hot and the knats were out! Here is some video of our little excursion. Pictures will be on a different post.

A Day With the Cooper 10/27/2009

Cooper can officially stand up on his own. It started with squatting down to pick up a toy, now he is pushes himself right up off the ground! Today he and I were having a lazy day around the house and the next thing I knew he was playing in Cinnamon's crate. I wanted to catch it on video so I grabbed the camera. He kept playing and talking as if nothing was different, so I left the camera on him. Here is are several clips from just regular day at home with Cooper.

Pumpkin Patch Oct. '09

Cooper isn't really talking very much, well let me rephrase, he babbles (a lot)! But, we can't understand a word of it. While we may not be able to understand him he most certainly understands us! When you tell him to put a toy in the bucket or give an object to Cinny/Momma/Dadda, he does it without any trouble.

Most of the time when Ryan comes home or goes to pick him up from daycare Cooper will walk up to him and say, "Dadda," I get a smile and brisk walk. Walking is his primary mode of transportation but he still can't understand how to stand himself up on his own without any assistance. Although he now squats down picks up a toy and stands back up without difficulty. He'll figure it out one of these days. We're pretty impressed with our good tempered (except when you tell him no) genius. Sometimes I have to remind myself he IS only 11 months old.

On October 10 Pop, Mama Jane, Aunt Stefi, and I took Cooper to his first pumpkin patch. We had a blast, despite the 80+ degree weather. Cooper especially enjoyed just getting to walk where ever he wanted. Enjoy the pictures, I know I enjoyed editing them.

Can you see the eyes are still blue in this one?

"It wasn't me."

"Seriously?"

Instead of flowers Cooper likes to give the ladies some grass.

At first he wanted nothing to do with the animals...

...he quickly got over it.

Look at those curls.

"What do you mean no?"

I'm over it.

A Mover & A Shaker

Cooper took his first 2 steps alone August 26th, since then he has gradually taken more and more steps by himself. Coop cannot yet stand on his own, he uses stationary objects to help pull himself up so he can walk. He still crawls on occasion, if he's in a hurry or to get to an object so he can stand, but he's walking about 80% of the day now. Here is some video of our walker for you.

Labor Day

We spent Labor Day weekend in Milledgeville and then traveled to Atlanta for the rest of the week. Cooper had an especially busy week away, he spent a lot of time in the water at the lake, went to his first Georgia Tech game, traveled all over Metro-Atlanta to see his parents friends, and then spent a couple days with Mama Jane, Pop, & Aunt Stefi in Kennesaw. Cooper's ear infection slowly got better while we were gone; slowly he started jabbering louder & longer and walking more. He learned to purposely clap; he'd clap for anything, landing on his bottom, walking, eating delicious cake (Yey Cake!), and just because.

Uncle Kyle, Aunt Meri, Lilo, & Big Daddy were all at the lake for the weekend. He had a great time showing off to all of them. It had been 4.5 months since Aunt Meri & Uncle Kyle got to see Cooper so they made sure to spoil him as best as they could! He was particularly fond of Uncle Kyle, who fed him anything and everything (especially cake) all weekend!

While we were in Atlanta Ryan & I visited with old friends and went to a second GT game (tech vs. Clemson), that's right 2 games in 1 week! That's 200% more games than I went to last year! While staying in Kennesaw he cut his 1st tooth! It only took him 10 months but he finally did it! I guess we don't have to invest in baby dentures after all.

Here are A LOT of photos from our trip, sorry it took so long to get them up. I've spent 3 days working on this blog, I can only load 5 pictures at a time and it takes awhile for them to load. Hope it was worth the wait.
