Biker Dude

For his 1st birthday Cooper got a battery operated motorcycle with a foot petal for the gas. We've worked on teaching him how to operate it, then today he was all over it. Coop doesn't quite get the steering part yet; one thing at a time. Here is some video of him driving around the house.

Christmas 2009

Cooper continues to crack us up. He loves to dance to any music he can get his toys to play. By dance I mean he bounces his legs, claps his hands, spins in circles, and let his arms fling everywhere (not necessarily all at the same time). He loves to "scare" you, by that I mean say, "Boo." We've taught him how to bump knuckles and he's saying Momma again. Cooper tries to be helpful, he wants it so badly. So we let him help when we can, it just takes SO MUCH longer. For example, while unloading the dishwasher he will take one spoon at a time to his father. Right now he likes to do what we say, except when we tell him NO. That kid does not like to be told "no," he will scrunch his nose at you and huff! But, he loves to say, "No, No" to the dogs!

We had a great time over Christmas. We went to Atlanta and stayed a couple nights with the Sampson side and a couple nights with the Wirsch side. Cooper had a blast and enjoyed all of the attention he received. The family & Santa were good to Cooper, we didn't think we'd get everything in the truck!

Cooper's 1st Halloween

We went trick-or-treating with the Smiths, Pulaski's, and Peterson's. Cooper had a great time and did really well. The first house he walked right up to the door with the other kids and held out his basket! Then he tried to give his candy back, he likes to share. We made it down one street and Coop (as well as his parents) were done, it was hot and the knats were out! Here is some video of our little excursion. Pictures will be on a different post.

A Day With the Cooper 10/27/2009

Cooper can officially stand up on his own. It started with squatting down to pick up a toy, now he is pushes himself right up off the ground! Today he and I were having a lazy day around the house and the next thing I knew he was playing in Cinnamon's crate. I wanted to catch it on video so I grabbed the camera. He kept playing and talking as if nothing was different, so I left the camera on him. Here is are several clips from just regular day at home with Cooper.

Pumpkin Patch Oct. '09

Cooper isn't really talking very much, well let me rephrase, he babbles (a lot)! But, we can't understand a word of it. While we may not be able to understand him he most certainly understands us! When you tell him to put a toy in the bucket or give an object to Cinny/Momma/Dadda, he does it without any trouble.

Most of the time when Ryan comes home or goes to pick him up from daycare Cooper will walk up to him and say, "Dadda," I get a smile and brisk walk. Walking is his primary mode of transportation but he still can't understand how to stand himself up on his own without any assistance. Although he now squats down picks up a toy and stands back up without difficulty. He'll figure it out one of these days. We're pretty impressed with our good tempered (except when you tell him no) genius. Sometimes I have to remind myself he IS only 11 months old.

On October 10 Pop, Mama Jane, Aunt Stefi, and I took Cooper to his first pumpkin patch. We had a blast, despite the 80+ degree weather. Cooper especially enjoyed just getting to walk where ever he wanted. Enjoy the pictures, I know I enjoyed editing them.

Can you see the eyes are still blue in this one?

"It wasn't me."

"Seriously?"

Instead of flowers Cooper likes to give the ladies some grass.

At first he wanted nothing to do with the animals...

...he quickly got over it.

Look at those curls.

"What do you mean no?"

I'm over it.
